Our Story

Grow Columbia continues the history of the Downtown Columbia Business & Professionals Corporation which worked for decades to make our City what it is today.

  • MARCH 1987

    The Downtown Columbia Business and Professionals Corporation was legally established with the State of Tennessee

  • APRIL 2017

    The President and board for the DBPA met and accepted nominees for a new board of directors to be voted on by written consent

  • MAY 2017

    A newly elected board met and established a goal of promoting business in Columbia and Grow Columbia was born

Benefits of Membership

By joining you will be contributing to the promotion of Columbia and growth for area business. We are a member supported organization, but we also need your input for the future of our city.

Grow Columbia is a 501(c)6 non-profit business organization that is required to be supported by member dues.

Yes. Monthly or annual billing can be ended whenever you wish. Just login and cancel your membership. However, any dues you have paid are non-refundable.

Only if you are a member of Grow Columbia. We value the opinions and input from anyone interested in seeing Columbia thrive. However, only members will be invited to organization meetings.

Our goal is to direct membership dues to promoting Columbia through, marketing, advertising, social media and other methods. However, there will be some overhead to maintain the organization as a legal entity. This is a volunteer organization with all directors and board members serving without compensation. Whenever possible we will seek donated services to keep organizational overhead to a minimum.

Sponsors will have high profile visibility on the Grow Columbia site as well as printed materials. This will mean positive exposure for individuals or businesses that would like to be associated with our group and show that they are committed to Columbia’s success. Sponsors will also have opportunity for additional exposure at events and in some promotions where it is appropriate.
